Your joints are the foundation of your body and your skeleton is like a frame of a house. If the frame is not strong enough, it will not support the structure and cause the house to collapse.
Weight lifters, powerlifters, bodybuilders and Cross Fit athletes run a high risk of wearing and tearing their joints. However, many other sports and activities may be a source of injuries. For instance, soccer players may easily injure lower limbs, handball players upper limbs, javelin throwers shoulders, tennis players elbows, gymnasts wrists, high and long jumpers Achilles tendons, and so on. There are many activities that take a toll on your joints, regardless of their level of advancement.
Let us also bear in mind that exercises themselves are not the only source of pressure put on joints. They can also be affected by excessive muscularity and/or obesity. Moreover, collagen levels become depleted with age, which not only weakens joints, but also affects skin, causing it to become thinner, dryer and less resilient.
These facts have led us to the conclusion that year-round joint support supplements should be fundamental not only for professional athletes and active people, but for everybody’s daily diet. Many even dare to say that such supplements are more important, or at least more beneficial, than basic multivitamin formulas. Such products cannot cure any injuries, however, to a certain degree, they could prevent some.
MEX FLEXO joint support formula features advanced ingredients, such as Hydrolyzed Type II Collagen, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid, and MSM, which are its basic building blocks, combined with some key vitamins that stimulate the immune system.
Type II Collagen, enzymatically hydrolyzed for its best utilization, makes up the main structural protein of various connective tissues, especially cartilage (chondrocyte metabolism), and plays an important antioxidant role, protecting the skin from free radicals. Proline is one of the chief components in the synthesis of collagen, when the procollagen precursor is modified by the hydroxyl group. Vitamin C plays a key role as a cofactor, while a lack of it can lead to scurvy, expressed in fatigues, skin changes, bleeding, loss of teeth or even immobilization. Deficiency of Vitamin D, usually in conjunction with inadequate sun exposure, leads to some “bone-softening” diseases. Skeletal dysplasia is one of the disorders linked to Type II Collagen dysplasia. It is believed that the aging process and the loss of collagen is the reason for the appearance of wrinkles on the skin. This is why collagen, responsible for skin elasticity and for keeping joints and skin moisturized, makes up the main component of MEX FLEXO.
Glucosamine, enhanced with Chondroitin, is the core ingredient of proteoglycans, making up the substance of cartilage, and glycosaminoglycans (GAG), useful as a lubricant or shock absorber. The suggested benefits of MSM include prevention of oxidative stress and osteoarthritis, but usually when being part of a matrix of Type II Collagen, Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is mainly considered to be a joint lubricant and “cement”, and, along with the other abovementioned ingredients, it promotes the health of joints and skin.
